When I escaped the oppressive Ultra-Orthodox community in which I was raised, I had no idea that my story would someday inspire thousands.
Now, I take an active role in organizations committed to empowering women and children nationwide.
I am a board member with Right to Parent and a Parent Advocate for Yaffed.
Like countless women, I’ve felt the self-doubt, anxiety, and terror that threatens when we try to break free from the oppression that’s held us down and kept us silent. Once I leaned into my own willpower, trusted my true wisdom, and connected with my inner worthiness, I was able to break free of the fear and self-doubt that had crippled me.
I believe every woman, no matter her story or background, deserves to find and celebrate her own freedom.
Right to Parent
Right to Parent is committed to supporting and advocating on behalf of parents who have left, or are leaving, strict religious marriages and communities.
The process of leaving a strict religious marriage and community poses unique challenges. In some cases the religious community mobilizes against the parent who leaves, and even close family members may turn against that parent. Divorce becomes more isolating for these parents than the experience normally is, as they lose their family and former community in the process. Right to Parent aims to support and advocate for parents suffering from the destructive overreach of strict religious communities.

Young Advocates For Fair Education (Yaffed)
Yaffed is a nonprofit organization founded by individuals raised within Hasidic and Haredi communities, and is committed to improving secular education in Hasidic and Haredi schools.
For over a decade, Yaffed has been giving disenfranchised Hasidic people a voice and path towards the education entitled to them by law. Hasidic families live in tight-knit communities with strong rabbinic leadership. Despite the fact that virtually no secular education is offered in Hasidic schools, public school is simply not an option due to the strong religious and social constraints of the community.
By raising awareness of these issues and advocating for community-led change, Yaffed is committed to ensuring that all children receive the education which is their right.
